SEAN LEE

Born in 1985, Singaporean artist Sean Lee has shown his work internationally and locally, participating in both group and solo exhibition. His solo exhibitions include The Empire project in Istanbul, Turkey in 2012. His work has also been shown at Singapore’s Objectifs Centre for Photography and Filmmaking, as well as at the exclusive New York Photo Festival, and is recognized on an international platform for his expertise in the area of photography.

His first body of work “Shauna” was nominated for the Prix Découverte on the 40th anniversary of the Arles Photography Festival in Arles, France. He has also received Singapore’s most prestigious photography award in 2011, the ICON de Martell Cordon Bleu Award for his most recent work, “Two People”.
 
Other significant nominations include the Paul Huf Award by the Foam Fotografiemuseum in Amsterdam in 2010; Lee was one of 67 nominees selected to participate in the elite training programme for master photographers at the Reflexions Masterclass.
 
Lee’s work can be found at the Singapore Art Museum as well as in the Sandor Family Collection.
